April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music in the 7th grade when she started piano and guitar classes. April Lockhart composed her first song"Different" at twelve years old. The singer spent much of her time when she was 14 making songs and practicing the piano. The songwriting began with her dad at home in NY and LA within a short time. April featured other topics in her song, Take my Hand. These topics included topics for her friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thoughts. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle blogger and being a partner with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia she has gained a large audience. As a woman born with no left hand, she is a major part of her. However, it's not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't just focus on it. The profile is a statement. That we all contain multitudes that our identities are complex and that we are beyond our physical bodies. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I don't wish for it to dictate my life. I'm not looking to be merely identified as a specialist in disability. This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. It's all normal, and I've learned to adjust. This is a major aspect of my existence, so it is important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart, a real motivation for self-acceptance generally, is on a long road to reach this. She still admits having gone through phases in her life regarding her appearance, feeling insecure at times to wear outfits that showcased the arms of her. She now wears whatever she'd like. and she shares her pictures to social networks. The key to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a destination. It's a long journey. I don't think you ever reach your destination. I believe that it's really essential to surround yourself with those who can discern and understand your heart.
